Registered Nurse

Purpose of position:

This position is responsible for overseeing nursing and resident care. The position assists with coordination of clinical services, ensures that resident outcomes are achieved and monitors effective internal resource utilization to assure that the financial and resident goals of the organization are achieved.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Clinical Processes & Procedures:

- Ensure that resident charts are updated and free of error

- Openly communicate with the residents physicians and DOW relating to resident diagnoses and service plans.

- Assist with continuing education meetings for nursing staff.

- Collaborate with the clinical team in establishing any service.

- Assist the DOW in coordinating care conferences.

- Provide direct resident care following service plan, openness to assist on the nursing floor when needed.

- Complete all audits per the DOW in a timely manner

- Assisting with doctors orders and PCC documentation

- Complete all required reports per DOW in a timely manner

- Assisting DOW with move in process

- Assisting DOW with assessments when needed

- Other duties as assigned

Staffing:

- Shift huddles between shifts

- Monitor performance in terms of resident care, PCC completion, etc.

- Assist with filing schedule when needed

- Interviewing potential applicants when needed

- Delegation of staff on medication competency when needed

Education:

- Successful completion of a Registered Nursing (R.N) program from an accredited school, college or university.

Experience:

- 1 year as a R.N, previous experience in long term care preferred
