Summary Job Summary The Medical Oncology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care and plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of our clinic. Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, evaluation, education, and support for the oncology patient and family. The Oncology Registered Nurse is skilled with peripheral venipuncture, accessing implanted ports, and the care and management of central lines. Job Requirements Education Required: Graduate of a state board accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program Experience Preferred: Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite.
