About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced NICU RN to join a supportive and collaborative team at a top-rated medical center in Spokane. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care for premature and critically ill newborns, working closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for neonates based on physician orders and established protocols.
  • Perform a wide range of nursing interventions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, providing respiratory support, and maintaining meticulous medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the NICU team to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
  • Provide emotional support and education to the families of NICU patients.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in neonatal care and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Washington.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a NICU setting.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill newborns.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications are required.
