About the Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced NICU RN to join a supportive and collaborative team at a top-rated medical center in Spokane. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care for premature and critically ill newborns, working closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for neonates based on physician orders and established protocols.
- Perform a wide range of nursing interventions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, providing respiratory support, and maintaining meticulous medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the NICU team to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Provide emotional support and education to the families of NICU patients.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in neonatal care and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a NICU setting.
- Proven ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill newborns.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications are required.
