General Information
35 bed Acute Care facility

Beds:
ER 9 treatment spaces 8 beds and 1 hallway space
ICU 4 beds
Med Surg 20 beds

Minimal Experience:
1.5 years

Patient Types:
All ages traveler will be utilized in all care areas to include ED, ICU and Med Surg
Sepsis, DKA, ETOH, ARDS, MI, Trauma, Stroke

Patient Ratios:
ED: 1:3-4
ICU: 1:1-2 (dependent on acuity/age)
Med Surg: 1:5 (dependent on acuity/age)

Required Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIHSS (preferred), CPI (preferred)

Required Education:
Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills required:
General ED experience, critical care experience for ICU holds, Trauma experience
Comfortability to work all care areas to include ED, ICU and Med Surg

Support on the Unit:
Charge nurse: 1 ( hospital coordinator )
Phlebotomy: yes

Resource Nurse:
same as charge nurse
RT: yes
Hospitalist: yes, with APP coverage at nights
