Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

34 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is required.

Travel experience is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license prior to placement start.

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only).

Call required: On call - 5 weekdays a month plus 1/48-hr weekend a month

All units that have on- call requirements require a 30-minute response time. It is outlined as a standard requirement in the unit description. All Swedish facilities with units that necessitate on-call coverage have a response time of 30 min from when the traveler is called in.

Floating: yes, within surgical services and within scope. All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scope of practice if needed. The facility has a designated float team that floats first however, in the event there is a need at another campus travelers will float first before perm staff. All facilities are within a 40-mile radius or less. In the event that the traveler needs to float, it their responsibility to find transportation to the facility they're floated to. Traveler's refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.

Manager highly prefers 26 week contracts but if traveler can commit to less, she will take it.

Must have CVOR scrub experience - no exceptions

Patient diagnoses: CAD, Aneurysm, Tamponade, Aortic Stenosis, Mitral Regurgitation, Heart Failure, LVAD, ECMO, CABG, Aorta/Mitral/Tricuspid replacement/repair, TAVR, TEVAR, Aneurysm

Special procedures: Chest Tube Set-up/Care, RSI - Rapid Sequence Intubation Drugs Blood/Blood Products Administration, Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket, ECMO, LVAD/Impella, Sheath Removal, Drains, Wound Vac

Required: Cardiovascular, Circulate, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular

Skills: scrub required

All candidates who were a previous perm employee of ANY Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a min of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. No exceptions.

BLS Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or Heart&Stroke certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only.
