Title: Registered Nurse Position Type: Model Staff & Faculty Search Type: External - minimum 7 days Department: 23R200 - P-12 Programming Division: 3R0000 - P-12 Programming Position Location: Richmond Campus Driver Classification: Non-Driver FLSA: Exempt Schedule Type: Full Time (37.5 hrs per week or more) Hours Per Week: 37.5 Additional Schedule Details: Posted Salary Grade: Exempt 10 mth - 46 Retirement: KTRS Contact Person: About the College/Department: Job Summary/Basic Functions Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Under direction, to provide basic health services to students; to assist in the planning and implementation of school health programs in cooperation with medical authority and school administrative personnel; to evaluate the health status of students and the health service program; to provide instruction in health practices, first aid, child care, and other related subjects; to serve as a resource pertaining to student health management strategies, and welfare and attendance problems and concerns; and to do other related functions as required. The nurse will manage all aspects of health care for Model School, perform direct patient care, maintain records, and assist with health education. The nurse must also meet physical requirements such as standing, walking and lifting at least 40 pounds. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or above in nursing Experience: Licensure & Certifications:
• Possession of valid Kentucky Registered Nurse License and eligible to practice in Kentucky Preferred Qualifications: Successful nursing experience, preferable in a school or child-centered environment Job Duties: Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
