- Shall be proficient in telemetry, showcasing a comprehensive skill set.
- Shall provide direct, continuous, and comprehensive patient care in alignment with facility policies.
- Shall perform nursing functions related to physician-prescribed treatments, ensure the delivery of effective and targeted care.
- The RN Med/Surg plays a vital role in surgical procedures, contributing to the overall success of interventions.
- Shall assist patients with activities of daily living, supportive and caring environment.
- Shall operate as a circulating nurse, facilitate coordination during medical procedures to enhance patient outcomes.
- The RN Med/Surg administer medications and IV therapies in compliance with local facility policies, the RN ensures the safe and accurate delivery of prescribed treatments.
- Shall document plans of care and care provided in the patient's medical record, maintain accurate and detailed records.
- The RN Med/Surg recognizes and initiates appropriate measures in emergencies and assisting with surgical/diagnostic procedures, demonstrates quick thinking and adaptability to dynamic situations.
RN Med/Surg - REQUIREMENTS - Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision -OR- Possess of a bachelor's degree in nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience-OR- Possess a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing.
- Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
- Must have a minimum of 24 months experience in a Med/Surg or PACU environment during the last 36 months.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) are mandatory for all specialties.
- Evidence of current immunizations is required.
