Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road Manor is a 99 bed skilled nursing facility located in Oakland, Maryland. Our skilled nursing facility has been serving the Maryland community for over 46 years. We are seeking both full and part-time employees to work 8- or 12-hour shifts and become part of our growing team.

WEEKEND PREMIUM PROGRAM DETAILS:

This position is designed as a Weekend Premium Program. This position is open to all weekend shifts (day, evening, and night), offering flexible hours and scheduling. The program is designed with the following requirements:

  1. Required to work at least 24 hours on the weekend shift (between the hours of Friday 6:30am through Sunday 1130pm) every week, in addition to an additional 8-hour shift to equal no less than 32 hours per week which equates to Full Time Employment.
Those who meet the requirements are eligible for the following benefits:

  1. Hours worked during the Weekend Premium Times (between the hours of Friday 6:30am through Monday 6:30am) will be paid at base rate plus an additional 30%.
  2. Eligible for shift differentials if offered during the week, but will not qualify for shift differentials during the Weekend Premium Times.
  3. Elible to receive Full Time Benefits.
  4. Eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO) times which will be paid at my base rate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current licensure with State Board of Nursing Examiners.
  • One year of geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write the English language.
JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with facility policies and procedures, provides clinical assessments of and direct care to residents that is of high quality and under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and DON. Provides oversight and guidance to the licensed staff (LPNs, GNAs, CMAs) on the resident care team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Addresses resident care needs within the RN scope of practice. As needed, seeks assistance from the resident's physician, Nurse Manager, ADON or other RN member of the Nursing leadership team.
  • Completes ordered resident treatments timely and accurately.
  • Administers ordered residents' medications timely and accurately.
  • Stays aware of clinical and service excellence best practices in rehabilitative and extended care nursing.
  • Addresses resident and/or family concerned and involves members of the leadership team and needed.
  • Works collaboratively with co-workers and members of all departments caring for the residents.
  • Serves as charge nurses when assigned (see list of charge nurse duties).
  • Attends all required educational activities and meetings. Documents care per policy requirements.
  • In accordance with policy requirements, develops and/or revises the plans of care as needed for each resident assigned to him or her. Follows the plan of care.
  • Observes all required infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Participates fully in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities the organization.
