As a REGISTERED NURSE (RN) you will:

  • Utilize your professional emergency nursing skills to deliver exceptional care to acutely ill and injured patients, employing a comprehensive nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
  • Champion patient-centered care by respecting each patient's values, preferences, and expressed needs, ensuring seamless coordination, integration of care, and continuity throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, their families, and various departments to foster a multidisciplinary healthcare team focused on providing continuous and well-coordinated care.
  • Drive proactive communication within our healthcare team, ensuring timely sharing of care plans, patient condition changes, progress updates, discharge plans, and other critical information.
  • Demonstrate your expertise in triaging patients quickly and efficiently, adhering to our Emergency Department's policies specific to triage protocols.
  • Anticipate and fulfill patient needs, providing crucial assistance to healthcare providers during examinations and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information.

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about optimizing patient care? We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing for Registered Nurses.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Iowa required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of acute care nursing.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
  • ACLS and PALS or ENPC certification:
    • If you've never been certified, within 60 days of start date.
    • If you've expired within the last 6 months, within 90 days of start date.
  • TNCC within 6 months of employment.
  • Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to delegate wisely, exercise good judgment, maintain positive interpersonal relationships, adapt to change, evaluate critically, and think creatively.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills required for specialized area of assignment.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care appropriate to patients of all ages.
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  • Previous Emergency Department or critical care nursing preferred.

Additional Details:

Department: Emergency Department

Employment Type: Full-Time (36 hours per week)

Schedule: 7:00am - 7:00pm Tuesday and Wednesday, every other Thursday / Friday rotation, every other holiday

Salary Range: $31.75 - $47.63 per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
