Position Summary
The purpose of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to deliver care to residents utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of the residents' attending physician. The RN will effectively interact with residents, family and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing.
Essential Functions
- M ake frequent rounds to monitor resident/patient conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Based on rounds and resident conditions, complete assessments as needed.
- Evaluate the daily staffing needs and assignments and make suggestions if needed.
- Ensure all reports and forms are completed as required and participate in care plan meetings as requested.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid PA state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current AHA health care provider training (BCLS).
- Demonstrated experience within a skilled nursing facility and ability to provide proof of such experience.
