10291 Position Summary: The RN will be responsible for the care and treatment of patients in a medical practice setting as directed by a physician. The RN will ensure that quality care is provided to all patients and is responsible for maintaining confidential records of vital statistics and other pertinent data. The RN will notify patients of diagnostic test results, ensure that clients receive appropriate follow-up care, and educate patients to assure understanding of physician's orders effectively. The RN will perform duties including but not limited to; rooming patients in a timely manner, recording nursing notes, vital signs, weight, etc., and coordinating care within the office team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience:

  • Previous acute care experience preferred.
  • A Minimum of 2 (Two) years prior experience working in physician office setting required. 5 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard medical office practices and procedures required.
  • Knowledge of current referral sources/authorization processes preferred.
  • Previous Electronic Medical Record Systems experience preferred.

Our diagnostic services include cardiac catheterization, PET scanning, two high-speed GE CT Systems including a 64-slice CT scanner, 3-D heart scans, PET scanning, MRI, breast MRI, bone-density screening, digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, high definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy, and a sleep-disorders lab.

CMC also offers outpatient physical therapy, a cardiac rehabilitation program, and a Surgical Services Center that specializes in general and vascular surgery, joint replacement surgery, spine surgery. CMC s medical care includes critical care, telemetry, inpatient dialysis, palliative care, obstetrics, pediatrics and women's services.
