Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse (RN) Weekend Position: Fri/Sat/Sun $10,000 Sign On Bonus. As a PACU RN you will assist with high acuity patients and enjoy the support of an awesome team. Our PACU at Baxter Regional Medical Center consists of 13 beds with 5 extended recovery beds. The Registered Nurses (RNs) on our team help to recover a wide variety of patients from pediatric to geriatric. Our cases include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurological, Cardiovascular, Plastics, Ear Nose Throat (ENT), Urology and Gynecological (GYN) procedures. Patient acuity is from basic care to intensive care. Our unit follows ASPAN and Hospital Standards. Our busy, fast paced unit has a 1:1 patient ratio with occasional 2:1. We do require call but you will have most weekends and holidays off. We use self, on-call scheduling. Come shadow and see if the Post Anesthesia Care Unit is a nursing career fit for you. Responsible for the care given to the patient and for the decision regarding which nursing tasks can be safely delegated to licensed and unlicensed persons involved in patient care. Must be proficient in a wide variety of high level nursing skills as well as adhering to all standards of nursing care and promoting a team effort among coworkers. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our patients while meeting their individualized health and perioperative needs in collaboration with our physicians and facility administrative procedures. Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families. Job Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required. BSN or MSN preferred. Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year acute care nursing or PACU experience preferred. Certification: BLS required.
