Trusted Staffe is partnering with a community hospital in Mayfield, KY to find a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN to play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in a friendly and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to adult medical-surgical patients across the care continuum.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform essential nursing skills like wound care, IV management, and patient education.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in unit-based education and stay up-to-date on current nursing practices.
- Maintain a safe and patient-centered environment by adhering to hospital protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment by collaborating with colleagues and supporting team goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Minimum one year of experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including EMR systems.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
