JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFKs cross streets is named in his honor. Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California.

Position Description:
- The OR Charge Nurse performs the clinical role of a RN III in the care of the patient undergoing surgery and/or anesthesia.
- This position assumes a leadership role for daily unit operations and assists with hiring and training of staff.
- They supervises and evaluates staff performance and maintain staffing levels to ensure budget goals and meet patient needs.
- The position ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available at all times and develops and implements performance improvement projects to improve patient outcomes.
- In addition, functions as a role model and mentor to other employees and serves as a liaison between patients, staff and physician's.
Charge Nurse (Registered Nurse) OR Full-time Rotate Requirements:
- California RN License
- Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a RN III position in Surgical Services.
- Previous experience or demonstrated skills in leadership and management
- PeriOp 101
- Basic Computer skills.
- CNOR preferred
- BLS w/ the American Heart Association

Pay Range: $47.33 - $73.34
