Job Description Overview We have an exciting and rewarding full-time opportunity to join our Observation Unit at the Methodist Emergency Medicine Trauma Center. This unit cares for emergency department patients requiring a 23-hour admission for a variety of medical needs, such as cardiac workups and trauma observations. Our innovative emergency medicine services encompass every level of treatment for critically injured and seriously ill patients. As a Level I Trauma Center, IU Health Methodist Hospital Emergency Medicine services include a full trauma staff and surgical team available on site 24 hours a day. Methodist EMTC leads both the state and the country in providing excellence in trauma care. Days: Hours: (3) shifts per week 6a-6:30p (M-F rotating days off) every 3rd weekend; no call Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
