Job Description Overview Manages clinical outcomes, cost, customer satisfaction and administrative efforts in the daily care assignment and in the operations of the unit. Coordinates care and administration support for a patient population of high acuity patients of all ages within their department. Serves as the clinical expert to assigned staff and is a strong unit leader and performs unit and system leadership activities as necessary. Creates an environment that enables a highly engaged team to deliver high quality, person centered care. Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) required for those newly hired or promoted into the position after May 1, 2023. Masters of Nursing preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
