Job Summary We are searching for REgistered Nurses for the Operating Room- Main Campus someone who works well in a fast-paced inpatient, operating setting. In this position, you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care circulating in the operating room. Various Shifts Available- Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem- (Most shifts are 8-10 hour shifts) Responsibilities Collects and analyzes data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care Discusses the patient's plan of care with tteam members, family and/or significant individuals and documents in the medical record as appropriate Determines which standards of care and practice apply to the patient; coordinates and communicates this information to other health care team members, in order to meet patient needs Implements and individualizes plan of care based on nursing assessment, reflecting the bio-physical, psychosocial, developmental (age-appropriate), cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs of the patient/family Evaluates and documents patient's response to the care provided and recognizes the patient's progress toward meeting the desired outcomes and discusses with the patient/family Work in a variety of surgery settings including: Ortho Plastics General ENT Urology Ophthalmology - minimal Neurosurgery Qualifications Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
