ID: Shift: Night Description: HWL Requisition:Community Memorial Hospital-AN-0081 Special Care Unit. Shift: 7p-7a 72 hours bi-weekly 8 week contract 1+ years of experience required. BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred, Coronary Care Certificate optional but SCU/CCU experience required Special care unit: up to (4) patients; may have medicated IV drip; BiPAP/CPAP/airvo/rare vent. Patient population: 1 year to >90. RN ratio: Acuity dependent 1:3 or 4 (inc MS/rehab patient) Vent: 1:1. No on-call. Common patient diagnosis: RAF, r/o MI, DKA, non-STEMI, PE, COVID pneumonia, CHF, post op general surgery, CVA deemed without intervention, rare chest tube, rare CVP monitoring, wound vacs. EMR system: Sorian Community Memorial Hospital primarily serves a population of 45,000 people in 27 communities throughout Madison County and the eastern sections of Onondaga County, as well as parts of Chenango and Oneida Counties. The hospital and health centers are directed by an 18-member Board of Directors comprised of influential business, education and civic leaders. The medical staff includes highly trained physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners from a variety of specialty areas who appreciate the unique nature of rural practices. Community Memorial Hospital employs nearly 400 people, and is a major economic force in Madison County.
