Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine is looking for a full time Registered Nurse to join our growing team. This position is an integral part of our team and vital to helping us create a smooth and personal experience for each of our patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate they are able to contribute to, engage, and work well in a close-knit team atmosphere. Every member of our staff plays a critical role in care operations and therefore must be able to assume ownership of their responsibilities. This position is located at our main office in Sandy Springs. The hours are Monday - Friday four 10 hours shifts a week. There is also weekend and holiday rotations from approximately 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM once a month. Once fully trained, there is an opportunity to work remotely one day a week based on performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Infertility Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of the infertility patients. They directly report to the Director of Nursing and should function in an independent fashion, taking direction from the physicians and mid levels as it relates to specific patient care concerns. The successful incumbent must be well-organized with excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills, case management exp. and a strong ability to be an effective team member.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Provide compassion and emotional support to patients throughout their experience
  • Provide patients with a high level of customer service
  • Triage patient inquiries and send to the correct team member or department
  • Provide excellent customer service by anticipating patient needs.
  • Reviews medical records of each patient and assures appropriate data is entered into the patient's EMR
  • Collaborates with physician in developing and implementing a treatment plan appropriate to individual patient
  • Provides initial patient consultation after consultation with physician
  • Coordinates all infertility diagnostic tests and treatment plans with patient at direction of physician
  • Answers patient questions regarding patient cycles and treatment
  • Coordinates with other members of the team to schedule required appointments and testing related to the patients plan of care
  • Provides education to patients to prepare them to undergo procedures/testing related to infertility testing, insemination, and IVF
  • Responsible to assure all consents are signed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible to assure that communicable disease testing is complete, accurate, and appropriate.
  • Enters prescriptions and lab results into the patient's EMR
  • Calls patients with their results and instructions and answer questions as needed
  • Assists patient care coordinators with scheduling appointments as needed
  • Effectively communicates and documents interaction between the physician and the patient
  • Assists medical assistants with ultrasound scans, procedures, performing vital signs, blood draws, and administering injections
  • Enters, changes, and updates diagnosis codes when needed
  • Assure pregnancy outcomes are complete for SART data.
  • Confirms prior authorization for cycle and medications
  • Phones nurse 1-2 times a week
  • Covers other office locations as needed
  • Assist with quality improvement projects and research projects.
  • Maintain professional standing of continued professional education and organizational memberships.
  • Participate in educating and/or training nurses, as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Required
  • Minimum 2 years recent RN experience, required
  • Case management experience, preferred
  • Current BCLS certification, preferred
  • Ability to change priorities and manage task deadlines effectively
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and listening skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism, dedication to quality, and strong work ethic
  • Must have excellent communication skills; must be able to communicate positively and professionally with all staff members and patients.
  • Must have the ability to function independently, and seek assistance from the physicians and team members as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, be able to use basic office equipment and handle multiple phone lines.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and possess a willingness to perform duties that are assigned or delegated to him/her as well as a willingness to perform duties of other employees as needed.
