Description:
The Augusta Health Inpatient Surgical/Orthopedics Unit is a medical-surgical floor with 24 private rooms that specializes in surgical cases. Patients may have a variety of operations ranging from orthopedics, general surgery, thoracic, urology, gynecology, and vascular cases. The Surgical Unit will offer you a chance to utilize your excellent assessment skills and broaden your knowledge of both surgical and medical patients.
We currently have a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position open on our Inpatient Surgical/Orthopedics Unit. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care.
A sign on bonus of $5,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Requirements
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required
- BSN or ADN currently enrolled in a BSN program preferred
- BLS certification required
- Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
