Registered Nurse

Eagleville Hospital, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the treatment, education, and prevention of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and acute psychiatric disorders. The hospital serves as a regional resource for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as a national resource for training and research for addiction and related conditions. The hospital also houses a geriatric psychiatry unit, which is short-term program for clients aged 55 years and older in need of a secure, therapeutic environment. The hospital also houses a 16-bed acute psychiatric unit. We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for Evening Shift willing to work every other Saturday and Sunday from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. You will be responsible for providing all basic nursing care to our patients. You must: Be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Have a current and valid Pennsylvania State RN License Have a current certification in CPR/BLS One-year med-surg. desired Experience in a psychiatric setting and/or drug/alcohol facility preferred Must have the ability to work 8 hr shifts, every other weekend and three holidays annually .Physical Requirements Occasional heavy lifting to assist in moving patients (approx. 100-350 lbs.). Medium lifting of a minimum of 25-75 lbs. required on a regular basis to assist with transporting items; e.g., patient belongings, supplies and equipment. Extensive walking and standing while performing duties required; ability to push wheelchair to transport patients on campus; ability to climb at least three flights of stairs; good oral and written communication skills. Work Environment Staff various units and shifts as needed. Work every other weekend and holidays as assigned.
