Your Impact as a PACU RN:

As a PACU RN, you will:

  • Provide compassionate care to patients recovering from surgery, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
  • Monitor vital signs, assess pain levels, and administer medications as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about post-operative care instructions and recovery expectations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Graduate of an approved nursing program
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Licensure and Certification:
    • Current California Registered Nurse License
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire)
    • PALS certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in ICU or Emergency Department
    • PACU experience in an acute care setting is preferred
