Job Description
We are seeking Registered Nurses - Interventional Radiology to join our team across the US. Registered Nurses (RNs) in Interventional Radiology collaborate with interventional radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide nursing care and support during minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout these complex procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
  • Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedation as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist interventional radiologists during procedures by positioning patients, preparing equipment, and maintaining sterile fields.
  • Monitor patients' responses to medications and procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education and care instructions.
  • Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
  • Document patient care, procedures, medications, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain clinical competency in interventional radiology nursing.

Clearance
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience or specialized training in interventional radiology nursing is preferred.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and best practices in interventional radiology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Adherence to ethical standards, regulations, and hospital policies.
