Job Description:

$20,000 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates

Full-Time 7p - 7a

The RN is responsible for managing and providing nursing care for the patient populations on the unit. This includes the immediate, short-term nursing care needs of patients as well as, planning for long-term needs. The KY Nurse Practice Act and established Baptist Health policies, procedures and standards of practice, determine the nurse's scope of practice. Work assignment includes floating to any unit, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate of school of nursing with current unrestricted KY license required, or higher.
  • Requires good clinical, organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred on hire is required within 90 days of hire.
  • Telemetry experience preferred or must complete basic dysrhythmia class within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • PALS certification and NIH Stroke certification is required within 6 months of hire into Float Pool.
  • Two years recent clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse is required.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, shift hours and job duties are required as well as basic computer skills.
  • Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prefer recent experience in specialty.
