Position Description: We are hiring experienced and entry-level Behavior Therapists and RBTs to join a world-class team of scientist-practitioners of applied behavior analysis (ABA) at our Boise, Idaho location. Under highly supportive supervision, our RBTs provide compassionate, high-quality ABA services to children with autism in a beautiful, motivating clinic setting in the heart of downtown Boise.

In this position you will work primarily 1:1 with children with autism, on a clinical team, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to reduce child challenging behavior; and teach communication, social skills, play skills, self-care, and more. RBTs also work with caregivers to teach them strategies to help their children. On occasion you will work with other RBTs and children in small group instructional settings within the clinic.

The primary responsibility of the RBT is to accurately and consistently implement the supervisor's treatment plan in collaboration with and support from a clinical team, while collecting data on child behavior.

RBTs are the vital behavior change agent in the child's life and are the primary vehicle through which services can produce long-lasting improvements in patients' quality of life.

Education:
  • Completion of at least 2 years of college (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
General Requirements:
  • At least 6 months prior experience working with children
  • Must absolutely love working with children, especially children with disabilities
  • Highly energetic and optimistic outlook on life and its many challenges
  • Current state driver's license
  • Proof of car insurance in employee's name and current address
  • Reliable vehicle and ability to show up to work on-time every day
  • Certification in Basic Life Support and willingness to maintain certification (agency will cover costs of recertification)
  • Completion of 40 hours of RBT training (which we provide within 90 days of employment)
  • Pass the RBT Competency Assessment and obtain certification
  • Willingness to submit driver's license and fingerprints for state and federal background check
  • Verification of legal authorization to work in the US upon hire
  • Respond well to regular guidance and coaching

  • Compliance with COVID-19 transmission prevention policies such as hand washing, sanitizing, temperature checks, and/or wearing masks according to constantly evolving local, state, and federal guidelines

Physical Requirements:
  • Move often throughout the Learning Center and related settings to gather materials, and anticipate and respond to learner's movements or behaviors
  • Move and bend to assist learners, kneeling/crouching to teach skills, hurrying to block a doorway, or reaching to prevent a leaner from entering dangerous contexts such as busy streets
  • Able to continuously observe and monitor learners' behavior and related items, activities, and people in the environment
  • Occasionally move furniture
  • Using muscles to lift, push, carry objects/clients up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing, and more) for extended periods of time
  • Ability to sit, crouch, or kneel on the floor for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications:
  • Applicants who are currently Registered Behavior Technicians and have experience working 1:1 with children and/or in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis are highly desirable
  • Bilingual
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist a BCBA with conducting behavioral assessments
  • Conduct therapy sessions with children with autism using the treatment plan designed by a Clinical BCBA Supervisor
  • Conduct ABA therapy sessions on a recurring basis with a small caseload of 1 - 5 children depending on the Learning Center's enrollment
  • Facilitate parent training by teaching parents how to implement behavioral interventions
  • Manage and intervene on challenging behavior (e.g., hitting, kicking, biting) exhibited by children with autism
  • Use scientifically supported behavioral interventions to address symptoms of autism by teaching children how to communicate, play, dress, socialize, follow basic instructions, attend to instruction, learn through imitation and matching, and more
  • Adhere to a strict schedule
  • Adhere to highly structured ABA therapy protocols with high accuracy
  • Consistent and timely conversion of scheduled appointments in an electronic billing system
  • Electronic behavior data collection and graphing using an online practice management platform on a tablet
  • Hand-collect behavior data and graph it
  • Make in-the-moment clinical decisions based on graphed data and learners' behavior during ABA therapy to ensure learners meet their goals
  • Report incidents to supervisors
  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences
  • Attend and fully participate in professional development activities
  • Complete and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Attend and fully participate in clinical review meetings
  • Conduct behavioral assessments under Clinical BCBA Supervision
  • Implement crisis plans developed by Clinical BCBA Supervisors
  • Other duties assigned from time to time

Compensation: $18-25/hr DOE. Full-time and part-time salaried and hourly positions available
