TITLE: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) 24-25 School Year, Full- TIme QUALIFICATIONS: At least 18 years of age, High School Diploma (or national equivalent) or higher, Registered Behavior Technician Certification, and a valid Ohio Department of Education Credential (or be willing to obtain) REPORTS TO: Behavioral Health and Mental Wellness Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: To aid children, families, educators and/or school administrators in providing an appropriate and safe learning environment to enrolled students. The RBT must work under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Interacts with students according to their Individual Behavior Intervention Plan, Individual Educational Program or Section 504 Accommodation Plan 2. Observes and intervenes to redirect inappropriate student behavior 3. Implements and monitors behavior intervention plans and educational programs 4. Implements skill acquisition teaching procedures such as discrete trial teaching and task analyzed chaining procedures 5. Implements contingencies of reinforcement, discrimination training, stimulus control transfer procedures, stimulus fading procedures, prompt and prompt fading procedures 6. Implements interventions based on medication and antecedents 7. Implements data collection procedures 8. Assists, monitors and guides the student to complete tasks. Assists individual students as needed with adaptive, functional and life skills 9. Implements approved de-escalation and crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol 10. Promotes a safe learning environment 11. Responsible to participate in the annual training offered by the educational service center 12. Responsible to maintain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician 13. Provides training and job shadowing for teaching assistants and behavior technicians as requested 14. Attends and demonstrates competency in behavior technician training as developed by Hamilton County ESC 15. Ability to restrain a student (in accordance with protocol) with the help of others if a student's behavior escalates to a potentially dangerous level 16. Assume other responsibilities and duties as assigned SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary to be established by the Board.
