Position Summary
NEPTCO, a Chase Corporation business unit, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager in the Southwest Region for its Pulling and Detection Business Unit.
It is the job of the Regional Sales Manager to professionally represent the company in the marketplace, to obtain information necessary to conform to the customer's requirements, to increase market share and sales by servicing the company's existing accounts and to develop new customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Additional Responsibilities as Assigned)
Frequently meet with customers face to face through joint sales calls with Independent Representative network, distributor's sales force and independently as the situation requires, (i.e., contract issues, problems, maintenance, new business, etc.).
Understand what competitors are doing in the marketplace and make recommendations to counter act their actions as necessary to maintain or gain market share.
Work with end users to get products approved and or specified.
Negotiate best terms with customers to maximize profit margin while following established company pricing guidelines. Assist in the development of contracts. Understand competitive situations affecting proposals from the competition, attempt to get last look.
Develop relationships beyond the Purchasing Department in accordance with direction received from Business Manager. Provide information to Business Manager as needed.
Attend appropriate industry functions, seminars, symposiums, etc.
Work with customers to develop new products, address processing problems, maintain business and understand competitive issues.
Determine customer requirements and clearly communicate back to our organization.
Develop an understanding of customer requirements as they relate to product capabilities. Communicate capabilities to the customer and resolve any discrepancies. Document resolutions to spec variance back to customer and to functional areas.
Education
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge and Experience
Be self-directed and work independently.
Demonstrate mental flexibility, patience and the ability to multi-task.
Must be able to travel freely within the U.S.

5-8 years
