Position Overview:
This role supports operations for two cement subsidiaries in Nevada and Colorado, reporting directly to the VP of Ops in Nevada. It oversees inbound/outbound cement shipments, operations of five distribution terminals, including an import facility, and manages five terminal managers. The incumbent leads the combined logistics organization to ensure safe, sustainable, and cost-effective operations.

Location: Dallas, TX. Consideration given to applicants in Denver, CO, or Reno, NV.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational direction for efficient and safe logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and permits.
  • Promote safety programs and improve health and safety performance.
  • Manage full P&L responsibility for terminal system, including budgets and goals.
  • Implement strategic plans and drive efficiency across operations.
  • Negotiate freight agreements and maintain relationships with carriers.
  • Generate capital requirements and oversee import program.
  • Manage Supply Planning Process and monitor transport volume and costs.
  • Direct Terminal Managers and improve key performance indicators.
  • Provide professional leadership and ensure effective communication.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Five plus years of relevant experience or ten plus years in terminal operations management.
  • Experience in budget development and financial statement analysis.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and lead cross-functional teams.

Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with five plus years relevant experience or ten plus years of progressive experience in terminal operations management and distribution planning.
