Description Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Regional EHS&S Specialist based in Woodland, CA. As a Regional EHS&S Specialist for Corteva Agriscience, you will have the opportunity to gain diverse experience with the foundations of safety in agriculture research. This position is ideal for individuals whose passions have drawn them to ensure the safety of others. This role will focus on pioneering safety within the modern plant science industry. This role focuses on ensuring all staff members have a safe working environment in various locations and activities. Our activities take place in the field, warehouse, labs, greenhouses, shade houses, processing facilities, and the office. This position would be responsible for supporting three Corteva R&D facilities located in Hermiston OR, Corcoran CA, and Woodland CA. Please note there is NO visa sponsorship available for this position. This role will be on-site at our Corteva location. What You'll Do: Woodland Specific Responsibilities
•  Lead hazardous waste management. Follow CA Title 22 guidelines and EPA laws. Maintaining records in relation to new standards for cold rooms ETQ Reliance incident reporting. Conduct incident investigations and document any incident that occurs on or off site through reliance and ensure all involved parties execute their roles in a timely manner Air permit monitoring. Work with site lead to ensure the Woodland R&D Center complies with all Yolo County air permitting standards First Aid/CPR/AED. Gain required certification to become an instructor for all first aid trainings. Exposure hours. Track all exposure hours and vehicle miles for all entities reporting through the Woodland facility Motor vehicle safety. Lead the motor vehicle safety program locally and serve as a point of expertise for driver safety Emergency response. Organize and maintain an emergency response plan for any potential hazards on site. Ensure all documentation is up to date and monitored to always ensure accuracy Regional Safety Support: Woodland CA, Corcoran CA, Hermiston OR
•  Provide audit support across centers to help identify program gaps and compliance with EHS&S Standards. Support Standard Owners as they learn and develop in their leadership of the standard. Review Standard applicability for regional centers - Determine appropriate standards for each site. Provide support on developing a plan to implement all required standards Hazard Analysis - Help to recognize and address hazards. Evaluate each stations activities to determine all hazards and implement best practices to eliminate risks GrowU management. Support training effectiveness across the region by reducing unneeded trainings, providing support to ensure training requirement list is up to date, providing feedback on how to improve training effectiveness across teams. Coordinate regional support across 3 centers. Connect all station support networks to fully utilize skills across sites Support Corcoran as satellite center and continue to develop the ongoing safety standard implementation GEST/EDR Reporting. Track and report all parameters of the global environmental sustainability tracking system for Woodland and Corcoran Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in an associated field What Skills You Need: 3 to 5 years' experience in an applicable role A standard 40-hour work week beginning at 6 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. daily. During peak periods, there are opportunities for overtime and weekend work. Overtime work be available starting in mid-May and could continue past September. Starting in June or July is acceptable. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $103,000 yearly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
