Overview of the Regional Controller Role:
- The Regional Controller provides comprehensive financial updates to corporate and Operating Company management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. This is a strategic role.
- Oversee 8-10 reports in different regions with a great Assistant Controller in place to be the right-hand person.
- Help onboard and streamline newly acquired companies and oversee accounting for new companies.
- Establishes financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Monitors business performance metrics and recommends benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
- Assists in annual budget process by analyzing financial data and recommending plans.
- Enforces internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Assists in financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Provides data to external auditors to support the annual audit process.
- Oversee and assist in completion of month end close and consolidation across regional locations.
Qualifications of the Regional Controller:
- Bachelor Degree
- Seasoned supervisory experience.
- Must have cost / WIP experience.
