Full Time Employee Benefits (7) Paid Holidays per year Vacation accrual up to two weeks in the first year Employee base medical HSA plan 100% paid for by Company - options available for dental/vision/accident/life and dependants 401(k) Branded clothing and safety equipment fund Driver-Specific Items We operate a fleet of late-model Kenworth tractors and bobtails and are looking for a Class A driver to help pull orders, load trucks, and make local deliveries. This is a daily M-F (8) hour position that starts around 4am and finishes around 1pm every day. We also have daily delivery routes. These routes typically start at 6am and include stops in the mountains surrounding Redding, West to Weaverville, East to Burney, Susanville, Reno, Chester, Quincy, and as far south as Yuba City and Williams. Knowledge of these areas and the farms, OEMs, and industrial mills are preferred. Drivers of these routes will generally work 4 (10) hour shifts per week delivering fabricated and mill-run metals materials, of 12-16 stops per day and around 250-300 miles travelled. We strive to have our drivers home every night, with overnight stays being a very occasional exception to the rule. Drivers must be friendly and customer service-oriented, as well as communicative with the home office regarding any issues that arise on the road. Requirements Shift punctuality Able to lift 75lbs Attention-to-detail for a variety of paperwork items including (but not limited to): Shipping Documents, DOT Driver Paper and Electronic (ELD) Logs, and other required paperwork Ability to read paper and computerized maps Ability to drive a manual 10-speed transmission Safety-conscious attitude concerning all aspects of work: yourself, your equipment, your cargo, and your surroundings Highly communicative with shipping manager / home office Clean Driving Record and legally able to deliver to schools and prisons. Per the law that went into effect on Jan 6, 2020, all new drivers must have a Driver Account/Record on the FMCSA Clearinghouse website. We are happy to assist you in setting this up if you have not done so. Experience Tractor-Trailer - 1 Year Minimum - Required Non-crated machinery or metals delivery, tie-down, rigging experience - Preferred Flatbed experience - Preferred License CDL Class A - No endorsements required Manual Transmission Required - AT-only licenses do not qualify PLEASE NOTE - A current (within 30 days) DMV record print out will be required for all interviews. Also per new laws for 2020, we may not hire any driver unless they are registered with Clearinghouse which will be tracking all CDL driver records across all states.
