Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA (Bucks County) is seeking an motivated and enthusiatic Recreational Therapist for Full Time. We are currently seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide treatment services and recreation activities to individuals using a variety of techniques in order to improve or maintain physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual functioning in order to facilitate full participation in life.

Recreational Therapist Shift Options (7.5-hour shifts):

  • Shift: 10:00am-6:00pm, with weekend availability.

Recreational Therapist Status Defined:

  • Full-time: 5 - 7.5 hour shifts per week, every other weekend availability, Benefit eligible.

Day-to-Day tasks for Recreational Therapist include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete a comprehensive assessment of each child, and determine needs areas
  • Plan course of treatment to address needs areas by writing individualized goals for the child
  • Implement activity-based interventions to work toward accomplishing goals developed by therapist
  • Evaluate the current plan quarterly to assess effectiveness of goals and interventions
  • Document the process
  • Assist nursing staff and other disciplines as needed
  • Attend program meetings, such as IEPs, ISPs, appointments etc

Base wages increase with experience.



  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited institution required
  • "CTRS" (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) credentialed preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Experience working in a long term care or hospital setting
  • Experience with pediatric population
  • Must be 21 years or older
