Covenant Eyes uses world-class educational content to teach various audiences (Our current primary audience is Christians in the USA) about the devastating impact of habitual pornography use and the recovery process to find lasting freedom from it. The issue is a controversial, sensitive, and a difficult topic to talk about. We strive to bring people hope, help, and healing through a mind, body, and spirit perspective. The Recovery Specialist plays a pivotal role in helping Covenant Eyes develop engaging recovery features for the Victory app and create exceptional educational resources that help individuals impacted by pornography. The Recovery Education Team serves multiple teams and departments on a variety of projects and initiatives, which provides opportunities for engaging and exciting work. This also requires flexibility and strong communication skills. This position requires researching, validating, and developing clear and compelling content at an advanced level that adheres to the Covenant Eyes brand standards. The position will advise our Marketing and Product Teams on best recovery practices and will serve as a collaborator and coordinator with outside counselors, researchers, and recovery programs. Responsibilities Represents Covenant Eyes through speaking, writing, and video & audio recordings. Examples include writing blog posts and Victory app courses, speaking to a live audience at a conference, or being a talent resource (speaker) in educational videos and audio. Develops relationships & rapport and collaborates with experts both inside and outside of Covenant Eyes. Brainstorms, designs, creates, edits, implements, and helps maintain a variety of educational content. Studies and reviews our target audiences (e.g., families, individuals, ministry leaders) and their needs and works with like-minded professionals to propose content that strategically sets Covenant Eyes apart from competitors and increases our value in the marketplace. Examples include listening to member feedback, reading books, attending seminars, and collaborating with like-minded professionals to develop content and create meaningful recovery exercises for our members within the Victory app. Efficiently prepares content so that it requires minimal re-work. Receives editing suggestions constructively and increasingly incorporates them into future work so that the corrections don't repeat. As assigned, effectively and collaboratively coordinates with those charged with creating content and developing app features by providing constructive feedback for refinement. Success in this role will require regular communication, problem-solving when obstacles are present, and timely upward communication to the Recovery Education Manager and discernment to know when assistance is needed. Works with the Recovery Education Manager to develop, maintain, and train others on processes, ensures these processes are clearly understood, and works to integrate these processes into all systems that generate content. Effectively and efficiently utilizes all Marketing project and task management tools, including but not limited to Confluence and Jira (training provided). Provides backup to members of the Recovery Content Team as assigned. Other duties may be assigned as required. Qualifications Counseling or coaching certification in sex addiction (CSAT/PSAP/IITAP, CSASI, or similar) Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft and Google-based tools, e.g., Word, Excel, Google Docs. Strong interviewing, research, writing, and editing skills. Strong verbal communication and speaking skills. Experience or willingness to be trained to serve as talent in video and audio recordings. Experience or willingness to speak to live audiences at events, conferences, podcasts, radio, and television. Proven experience in producing written content for target audiences. Travel will be required, and must maintain a current, valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance. Travel for training and conferences required. Most of your time will be spent at a desk using a phone, computer and monitor, and general office equipment. You may be required to reach with hands and arms; sit; stand; talk and hear; use your hands to finger, handle, or feel.
