Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a skilled and dedicated Reconstruction Technician to join our team. As a Reconstruction Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties damaged by fire, water, storms, or other disasters. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction and reconstruction tasks, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition. Attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: Execute all aspects of property reconstruction following fire, water, storm, or other disaster-related damage. Perform demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring installation, and finishing work to restore properties to their pre-loss condition. Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other team members to understand project scope, timelines, and priorities. Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of reconstruction work. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the reconstruction process. Operate and maintain a variety of construction tools, equipment, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors involved in the reconstruction process. Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. Monitor and track project progress, documenting work performed, materials used, and any changes or challenges encountered. Identify and report any issues or concerns that may impact the quality or progress of the reconstruction work. Uphold high-quality standards and attention to detail to deliver exceptional results to clients. Ensure a clean and organized work area, maintaining the proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials. Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner. Continuously update and expand technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment. May assist in estimating and bidding on reconstruction projects as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in construction or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in construction, reconstruction, or restoration work. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, tools, and equipment. Proficient in performing various construction tasks, such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, and flooring. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
