Overview

Located in Chicago, the Receptionist has the responsibility of greeting guests, answering, and transferring calls, and coordinating the use of the conference rooms.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Monitor the front desk by greeting and directing visitors in a welcoming mannerCoordinate package deliveries (inbound & outbound)

Office Administration:

  • Coordinate usage of conference rooms for coworkers and guests
  • Receive and sort mail courier documents and faxes daily
  • Extend administration support to various colleagues
  • Order and maintain inventory of office and break room supplies as needed
  • Organize large mailers
  • Ensure various building areas such as: coffee, kitchen, reception, and conference rooms are kept tidy and well-stocked

Global Responsibilities:

  • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
  • This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs

Qualifications:

Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to communicate effectively throughout various levels of the company

Working Conditions:

  • Operates within a professional office environment
  • Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
  • A typical day is an 8-hour daytime shift

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
