THALES are looking to recruit a passionate & driven Real Estate Project Manager to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Thales UK real estate capital project programme in supporting the primary activities of the UK businesses and the UK site strategy. Be responsible for the Management and delivery of UK Real Estate Capital Projects across the UK, and Northern Ireland ( if required) offering full Project management leadership in accordance with UK and Thales Group processes and governance rules. For each given task Identify budget, programme, risks, assumptions and dependencies. Develop, implement and manage a UK risk register capturing all risks relating to the UK capital project programme. Where a risk has been identified ensure that a mitigation plan is in place to manage the risk. Be responsible for working with the UK HSE, UK Security, IT, and UK Risk Management team as part of any given Project solution and include this within the approval process. Ensure and embed a culture of 'no surprises' across all capital project activities, ensuring development issues, risks and opportunities are recognised at the earliest possible stage. In partnership with outsourcing partners, be responsible for implementing, managing and delivering the Thales UK strategic capital project programme as directed by the UK Real Estate Senior Project Manager. Be responsible for ensuring the robust capture of "end user" and "stakeholder requirements", applicable legislative requirements and all specific contract standards, policies and guideline requirements. Manage Stakeholder expectations through the design review process to ensure that agreed gated solutions are delivered. Support the development of a design and build process for any given Capital Project as directed by the Senior Real Estate Project Manager. Support the preparation of Employer Requirement / bid documents to describe in detail the proposed solutions, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Identify budget, programme, risks, assumptions and dependencies for smaller Projects as requested by the UK Real Estate Senior Project Manager. Manage the preparation of "Employers Requirements" to form the basis of a design / construction tender package. Manage the design / construction tender process in accordance with Chorus II and Thales UK procurement governance. Manage the delivery of the Infrastructure design and delivery to ensure that delivery is compliant, to programme and to cost. Manage the capital project acceptance process to ensure that all projects are handed over to the end user as fully compliant. Support Workplace/ Site transformation and Energy Management Projects across the Thales UK, as agreed with the Senior Real Estate Project Manager. Work closely with the UK Real Estate Manager on all landlord, approvals, licenses to alter, and planning applications to support Site changes on leasehold Sites. Who are we looking for? The ideal successful candidate will have; Clear and demonstrable technical and managerial leadership within a capital projects environment, with excellent people management skills and the ability to influence and challenge others. Fully conversant with the RIBA stage of construction Project Management. Minimum of 3 years' experience of delivering Capital Projects essential. Full RIBA stages as PM. Previous experience of working with MOD on Construction Project would be an advantage but not essential Minimum of 5 years' experience of project delivery within a manufacturing environment/highly regulated environment - full life-cycle and budget responsibility. Extensive experience of project delivery through a comprehensive project management process. Proficiency of program reporting and management using Project Management software. Recognised H&S certification (IOSH/NEBOSH). Experience of managing facilities projects; installation/commissioning/qualification of systems/equipment/laboratories/buildings/training and handover. Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Strong presentation and reporting skills. Willing & able to travel within the UK and Northern Ireland as/when required. This role may require short time periods away from home. Previous experience of BIM preferred but not essential. A confident communicator, resourceful and proactive, ensuring adequate quality and timely delivery.
