Salary: $105,000 - $150,000
Summary: Our client, a successful and growing Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), is seeking a Paralegal to join their team hybrid in their Santa Monica Office. With a retail real estate portfolio in markets spread across the US, this is a unique opportunity for a paralegal stemming from a Real Estate background.
Responsibilities:
- Examine current leases, REAs (reciprocal easement agreements), and other documentation to make sure there are no exclusive rights or limitations on permitted uses
- Manage the company's process for obtaining title information: Place title order, review of title and survey matters, and work hand in hand with company personnel and third parties
- Review leases and REAs with due diligence, making sure to understand the provisions about relocation, repair, co-tenancy, radius constraints, no-build zones, protected areas, termination rights, and alternatives for extension
- Create charts with important dates for anchor projects and track deadlines for ongoing anchor projects
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate
- 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal with a focus in Real Estate with substantial title and survey expertise preferred
- Computer skills: MS Office, Adobe Acrobat/ Reader, Workshare and Redline
- Committed and dependable work ethic
