Washingtonian magazine, the area's award winning monthly lifestyle publication, is offering a paid advertising internship. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and have the ability to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Candidate will be heavily-involved with the magazine's record-setting Top Real Estate Agents project - a star on candidate's future résumé. Compensation is $17/hr. Duties Include:
- Support sales team by preparing and maintaining spreadsheets, lists, and files
- Manage large volume of advertising proofs
- Provide exemplary service to advertising clients
- Work at the magazine's occasional in-person events as requested
Skills/Experience:
- Strong and adaptable interpersonal skills and ability to work with a full range of clients and personalities.
- Experience using a sales CRM/database preferred.
- High competency in MS office, particularly Word and Excel.
Schedule:
Begin on or about May 6, end July 26. 5 hours daily M-F except for May 28-June 17. During that period: 8 hours daily M-F, inclusive of some occasional evening hours required to catch up on emails, spreadsheets, and ad proofs. Combination of in-office and work from home.
