Position Brand Description:

The production operator will work in the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP) site in Reach Assembly where products for domestic and international markets are assembled. The primary purpose of the job is to assemble devices for product delivery for global distribution to the customer.

This role will require documentation of process steps on appropriate batch documentation (paper/electronic), adherence to standard operating procedures, current good manufacturing practices, and safety policies/procedures, and providing input to department procedures/training for continuous improvement.


Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Adhere to the IDAP plant safety policies and procedures, contribute to a safe work environment
  • Setup and operation of equipment on multiple work centers within a non- aseptic process
  • Troubleshoot equipment
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of products
  • Strong attention to detail in carrying out manufacturing conduct and technique
  • Performing and documenting all production activities on paper and/or computer-based systems.
  • Adherence to all policies, procedures, and company guidelines at all times
  • Stay 100% up to date on training curriculum at all times

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must pass a "fitness for Duty" physical exam
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and off-shifts, as needed.
  • Basic computer skills including desktop software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Electronic mail)
  • Excellent documentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in controlled areas with gowning and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, respirator, protective gloves, etc.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Proven ability to work through production issues including basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work amongst a team, responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely with others, and accountable for supporting Health and Safety corporate/site goals
  • Must be in good standing with local attendance policies.
  • Minimum of 2 years Production/Manufacturing experience

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience with GMP's
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical environment is desired
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with electronic manufacturing execution systems (PMX, Paletti, EWM)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Other Information:

  • Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves etc.).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts.
  • Some allergens are present in the plant; a post offer allergy test may be required.
  • Work a 3-2-2-3 12 Hour Shift on day or night shift
