Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team. Employment Type: Full Time Shift: 40hrs/wk, rotating shifts per department needs : Involves technical work in the operation of diagnostic radiographs and fluoroscopic equipment. The purpose is delivery of quality care commensurate with the age of the patient population for the designated area. Uses equipment according to manufacturers guidelines. Operates diagnostic and fluoroscopic equipment. Uses chest machine and portable unit. Demonstrates filming techniques to give optimum radiographs. Accurately takes xrays - routine, portable, radiographic, fluoroscopic. Properly positions patient, utlizing good body mechanics. Identifies special considerations in skin integrity, cognition, or boundaries for safety. Is knowledgeable of age-related factors. Examines patient identification prior to exam. Explains procedure and prepares patient for procedure, transfers patient to table and properly positions patient, using good body mechanics. Properly wears radiation monitoring badge. Demonstrates an awareness of radiation safety procedures for self and others. Adjusts Lead Shields. Shows a concern for patient comfort while obtaining the desired results for the physician.
