Eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus POSITION SUMMARY Performs radiology procedures relating to all aspects of the department, including, but not limited to general x-rays, fluoroscopy, portables, emergency room, trauma, surgical, C-arm, Bone densitometry, CT with training, and when certified, Mammography. Assists the radiologist as necessary. Must be able to function independently and prioritize procedure/task/patient transport as needed. Performs department scheduling, and record-keeping as needed. Uses computer to enter patient procedures and record the completion of the exam. Uses both digital and computerized radiology techniques when appropriate. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Must have an associate degree, or equivalent from two-year college, technical school, or any school with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) accreditation. License/Certificates Must be Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - ARRT (R) - and be registered or registry eligible in ARRT (M) Mammography if a mammographer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares patients for exams, maintaining awareness for patient needs. Remain proficient in all procedures including, general radiography, special, portables, surgical c-arm, trauma, CT, bone densitometry and as assigned. Stays current with radiology technology. Schedules patients per department policy. Works closely with radiologist, supervisor, co-workers, and other employees. Uses proper patient transport and lifting procedures. Selects and uses proper exposure factors. Cleans rooms, as well as department areas as needed, cassettes, aprons, grids, and checks for supplies. Sets up for all procedures. Assists co-workers as needed. Be alert for such needs. Attends department meetings. Maintains professional appearance and conduct at all times. Reports unusual occurrences or malfunctions to supervisor. Aware of hospital policies in fire and life safety, department role in codes, site emergency, and departmental policy. Assumes responsibility for completing mandatory educational requirements. Safeguards security and confidentiality of data/information according to HIPAA guidelines. Carries out duties safely and uses safety devices provided to protect self and others. Routinely checks Riverwood email for departmental updates. Why Choose Riverwood Healthcare Center?
