Job Summary: As a Radiologic Technologist with Nuclear Medicine specialization, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions by performing a range of radiologic and nuclear medicine procedures. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate and safe delivery of patient care and support our commitment to excellence in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Radiologic Procedures:

Conduct radiologic examinations using X-ray, CT, MRI, or other imaging modalities as required.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures by explaining the process and maintaining radiation protection measures.

Administer Nuclear Medicine Procedures:

Prepare and administer radioactive materials to patients as prescribed by physicians.

Perform nuclear medicine scans, including SPECT, PET, and bone scans, to visualize and diagnose various medical conditions.

Patient Care and Safety:

Monitor patients throughout procedures to assess their condition and respond to any adverse reactions promptly.

Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary exposure.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Operate and maintain radiologic and nuclear medicine equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Perform routine quality control checks on equipment to maintain image quality.

Record Keeping and Documentation:

Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, radiation dose, and patient history.

Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements related to patient documentation.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and ensure accurate image interpretation.

Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing their concerns.

Continuing Education:

Stay current with advances in radiologic and nuclear medicine technology and techniques.

Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

Current state licensure and certification as a Radiologic Technologist.

Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (e.g., NMTCB or ARRT-NM) is required.

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Strong knowledge of radiologic and nuclear medicine procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care and safety.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
