JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides lead/resource support for management in the efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic radiology services. Promotes excellent patient care through appropriate supervision, evaluation and adequate training of departmental personnel, procurement/maintenance of equipment, QA/QI, development of appropriate policies and procedures, regulatory compliance and protocol development. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samaritan Health Services use state-of-the-art imaging technology while providing health care teams with the information needed for a fast, accurate diagnosis. Imaging services include: X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT Scan, Digital Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, and Ultrasound services. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current ARRT RT(R) credential required. Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required. Three (3) years Radiologic Tech experience required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred. B.S. degree preferred. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards of service and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Confidentiality/Health Information Technology: Knowledge of and ability to comply with State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information and how it applies to health information technology. Problem Solving/Stress Management/Time Management: Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to maintain patience and composure in high stress/difficult situations.
