Overview Join us as a Radiographic NDT Technician II and see how your variety of routine and non-routine testing make a difference and how critical it is to helping us deliver on our purpose and achieve our goals. Element has immediate opening for a Radiographic NDT Technician, they will assist and facilitate the testing of specimens through the use of radiographic testing processes and procedures. In this role the technician will be responsible for providing reliable results while paying close attention to safety and project timelines. Training will be first shift, but must be able to support 2nd shift based on business needs. Salary: $25-$32/hr $1 shift diff when on 2 nd shift Responsibilities + Conduct radiographic tests to ensure quality or detect defects + Set up, utilize and calibrate NDE test equipment + Interpreting codes and specifications + Clearly and legibly reports test results + Use approved techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations + Professionally and effectively communicate with customers and third-party vendors on a daily basis + Supervise and train NDE Level I Helpers in the field to ensure that they are operating in a safe and effective manner Skills / Qualifications Is this job for me? The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will: + 80 hours of RT classroom training required + X-ray and gamma credentials required + 2 years of NDE Level II radiography experience in the oil and gas or aerospace industries preferred + Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DT) experience preferred NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.
