R&D Lab Technician

Job Description: Responsible for assisting the Research/ Formulation Chemists in the R&D Department. Calibrate lab instrumentation, scales, and balances. Follow formulas provided by Formulation Chemists and mix raw materials to create small lab batches. Perform wet chemistry testing on formulations including viscosity, penetration, melting point, titrations, etc. Prepare samples for submissions and document submissions in company database. Will be responsible for stocking inventory, cleaning glassware, data entry of lab reports, and general lab upkeep. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in any science (Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, etc.). Chemistry is preferred degree but flexible to related science degree. Previous lab exposure and knowledge of glassware and equipment in lab. Comfortable with general lab tech duties and general lab maintenance. Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple people. Organized and able to handle multiple projects at once.
