Position: R&D Chemist I
Location: Headquarters Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hours/Week - Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Evening and extended work hours may be required occasionally as job duties demand. Extended travel hours may also be necessary

Under the supervision of a more senior staff member, the R&D Chemist I is responsible for the timely completion of assignments as part of a more complex research project. Good lab practice, safety practice, and note taking are expected

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
  • Must be up to date on all required safety training and adhere to safety policy during the course of work
  • Accurately documents work and findings in lab notebooks and in written reports. Scientific oral presentations may also be required occasionally
  • New product development and testing
  • Plans, conducts, and executes laboratory- and full-scale development activities. Conducts field work for manufacturing and customer support on an as needed basis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (Degree in Business, Environmental, Chemical, or equivalent is preferred)
  • 0-2 years Industrial or academic R&D experience is required
  • Demonstrated creative and technical skills (patents, ideas, publications) is preferred
