Quarry Groundman/Maintenance

Rogers Group is seeking a Laborer/Maintenance Person for our quarry operation located in Dayton, TN. The successful candidate for this position will have a strong background of experience in welding, fabrication, and fixed plant repair work and a strong commitment to safety excellence. Experience or background in millwright type work - metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair - is preferred. Pay starting at $19/hr Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintenance work and maintain the belt lines Operating production equipment as needed - such as a haul truck, wheeled loader, or skid steer General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times Report equipment problems and identify them to management Complete equipment pre-shift report - if applicable Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment Ability to maintain safe working conditions Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned Ability to learn quickly Must be willing to work weekends and overtime Must pass pre-employment drug screen As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including: Group insurance options plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution.
