Are you passionate about quality and precision? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in engineering principles? If so, we are looking for a Permanent Quality Technician to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. This role is integral to ensuring the quality of our products and services, maintaining our reputation for excellence, and driving continuous improvement throughout our operations.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Quality Technician, your responsibilities will include:

1. Performing and documenting quality control inspections, checks, and tests during all stages of production to ensure adherence to established quality standards.

2. Utilizing precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and assemblies.

3. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents to ensure product conformity.

4. Conducting root cause analysis of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

5. Ensuring compliance with AS/ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.

6. Managing and maintaining document control systems, including process documentation and quality records.

7. Handling rejected material management, including the Material Review Board (MRB) process and preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).

8. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.

9. Providing training and guidance to other team members on quality assurance procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the engineering industry.

2. Proficiency in quality control and assurance methodologies, including AS/ISO 9001.

3. Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

4. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.

5. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical documents.

6. Experience in document control and rejected material management.

7. Familiarity with Material Review Board (MRB) procedures and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).

8. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to drive quality improvements.
