Kranze Technology Solutions is seeking a Mechanical/Dimensional/Electrical Quality Technician (This is not a Software quality position) to join our growing Quality team. This QT will be supporting Receiving, In-Process and Final Quality. The position will ensure that product meets dimensional, mechanical, electrical testing and certification requirements. The QT will also ensure products are received and/or produced in accordance with specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of Quality Director and/or the Quality Engineer
  • Performs inspections of raw materials and finished electronics products, applying appropriate quality assurance sampling and testing requirements
  • Knowledge of IPC Standards for Electronic Assemblies and Cables
  • Operate the CMM and MicroVue inspection machines
  • Approves receiving paperwork after review of Packing List and Certification documents
  • Understands the importance of Certification documentation and specification requirements
  • Documents inspection results for various lots of material in approved formats
  • Input data as required to facilitate internal and supplier metric reporting
  • May help in developing quality plans based on contract and internal design, manufacturing, inspection, and testing requirements
  • Works with the Quality Engineer and Supply Chain to improve suppliers and administer Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA's)
  • Ensure products meet KTS and customer expectations based on drawings and specifications
  • Communicates and Initiates Reject or NCR reporting when inspection and test issues are found
  • Works with the MRB team to resolve product issues
  • Ensure appropriate quality related paperwork is generated and maintained
  • Offers technical guidance and support in response to quality testing and analysis
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, Math, Industrial, etc.) or sufficient work history
  • Experience of 1+ years as a Quality Technician within an aviation, electro-mechanical, fabrication, connector/cable, or defense industry

Other Preferred Skills:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred
  • Experience with APQP, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Knowledge and understanding of IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
  • CMM or MicroVue programming skills
  • Analystical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (ex. AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of MS Excel, ERP systems and other software
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or related software
