Position Title: Quality Support Specialist Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm (35 hours per week) Location: 4 days in Concord CA, 1 day in Richmond CA Compensation: $25/hour PLUS Great Benefits Benefits: + Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Long Term Disability Insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, + Employee Discount program for restaurants, shopping, travel even Disneyland. + Paid vacation, Sick Days, and 11 paid Holidays plus a paid "holiday" on the employee's birthday. + Accrue 2 weeks Vacation during your first year. Vacation accrual rates will increase with years of service. The Quality Support Specialist engages to support the entirely of the classroom, children (0-3 years old) with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This position supports the children and teachers to ensure the success of the program and the implementation of methodologies (such as A.B.A). This position ensures correct usage of all methodologies (ABA, TEACCH, PECS etc ), correct set up of program environment, and verifies collection and analysis of data on children within the program. A successful Quality Support Specialist will + Provide constructive feedback on the usage of ABA for children with special needs + Supports and mentors staff in learning and implementing classroom methodologies including, ABA techniques, TEACCH/Visual Instruction, PECS, Floortime, and Behavioral Intervention and the use of these methodologies throughout the day. + Supports and mentors staff in classroom preparation, preparation of data sheets, collection and analysis of data + Assessing student's progress and readiness for transition to the next level + Supports and mentors staff in ideas and activities that motivate and are developmentally appropriate for teaching students the needed skills to obtain goals. + Writes consultation notes for staff on usage of methodologies, modeling, scheduling and other programmatic issues. + May substitute as an Early Intervention Specialist in the classroom when needed. + Serves as an advocate and positive role model for the children. Minimum Qualifications + Must have experience in ABA, or other methodology based instruction for children with disabilities + At least 12 Early Childhood Education units + Three (3) years' experience in a classroom for children with special needs. + Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field + Additional experience can be used as a substitution for education.
